Who Accident Book Is (and Isn’t) For

We would rather you know up front whether Accident Book is right for you. Here is who it is built for, and who would be better served by something else.

Accident Book is a good fit if you

• run one or more sites in Great Britain and need a reliable accident book;
• want anyone, including staff, contractors and visitors, to report accidents and near misses quickly from their phone;
• want help deciding what is reportable under RIDDOR, and a record of your decisions;
• want simple per-site pricing with no per-user fees and no long contract;
• want old records anonymised or deleted automatically, in line with UK GDPR;
• are replacing a paper accident book or paper incident forms.

Accident Book is not the right choice if you need

You need	Why Accident Book isn’t a fit
A full health and safety management suite	Accident Book records and manages incidents. It does not do risk assessments, audits and inspections, permits to work, COSHH or training records.
Integrations, an API or single sign-on	It does not connect to HR, rota, MIS or other systems, has no API, and uses email and password sign-in. See what it integrates with.
Pupil medical records, care plans or medicine logs	It records accidents and injuries, not medical histories, medication or parent communications.
Reporting rules outside Great Britain	The RIDDOR guidance follows RIDDOR 2013, which applies in Great Britain. Northern Ireland and other countries have their own reporting rules.
Offline reporting	Reporting by QR code needs a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection. It does not work offline.
Custom or monthly summary reports	There is a weekly summary email, but no custom report builder or monthly reports. Use the dashboard or a CSV export instead.
Forms in languages other than English	The report form and the app are in English only.
Nothing to record	Sole traders with no staff or visitors are unlikely to need an accident book.
